Wilma Kidd

Wilma Francis (McDowell) Kidd went to be with her savior and loved ones on May 11, 2014 at the Willapa Harbor Health & Rehab Center in Raymond, WA. She was born on October 8, 1915 to Estell and Daisy (Bridge) McDowell at Sand Point, ID. As a teenager she helped cook for a large group of threshers on a farm in Idaho. She liked to go to garage sales and shopping and enjoyed embroidery. One of her hobbies was collecting and displaying dolls which were donated to a children’s charity when she entered into health care services. She liked flowers and enjoyed spending time with her family and friends. In later years, she helped her husband pastor the Faith Tabernacle in Bay Center, WA for 16 years until their retirement. Wilma married Arnold Kidd on October 7, 1933 in Twin Falls, ID where they made their home until moving to Washington. He preceded her in death on December 11, 2004. They had three children, Beverly Lovelace (Norman) of Vancouver, WA, Judy Ashley (Jerry) of South Bend, WA and Gary Kidd (Laurie) of Rochester, WA. She was also survived by 7 grandchildren, 19 great grandchildren and 25 great, great grandchildren. Wilma had two brothers preceded her in death, John and Richard McDowell. Private burial services will be held at the Fern Hill Cemetery in Menlo. Memorial services will be held at 1:30 p.m. Thursday, May 15, 2014 at the Crossroads Church in Raymond.
