Thelma Crawford

November 22, 1920 — August 4, 2015

Thelma Crawford was born in Baldwinsville, New York on November 22, 1920 to Hazel (Patchett) and Stanley Abbott. She was the oldest of four children. Growing into a determined young woman, she moved away from her farming roots and put herself through college to become a dental hygienist. She met her first husband, Lewis Norton Stacy also from the Syracuse, New York area and they settled as newlyweds in Buffalo, New York. Thelma worked in a research lab at National Aniline while Lewis served in the war, and then she worked as a dental hygienist for the rest of her career. Thelma and Lewis had two children, John Carl and Cynthia. Lewis passed away in 1954. Thelma later remarried to Wilbur Wilson Reinbold. During their marriage they took the ultimate adventure and toured the United States in a motor home for four years. During their sojourn she perfected her lifelong passion of birdwatching. Wilbur passed away in 1978. Thelma then moved from the east coast to Seattle to live with her daughter. In 2001, the families moved to Raymond, WA. At the age of 73, Thelma married for the third time to Raymond Bartlett Crawford and moved to Massachusetts to be with Ray. They had known each other for over 50 years prior to being married as Ray was Thelma\\'s boss at National Aniline. Ray passed away in 1995 at the age of 84. Thelma passed away peacefully on August 4, 2015 in the care of Willapa Harbor Health and Rehab in Raymond, WA. She outlived her three siblings Olive, Calvin and Barbara. She is survived by her two children, four grandchildren (Andrea, Heather, Randy and Tyler) and one great granddaughter, Esther Isabella. Thelma\\'s fifth grandchild Stacy predeceased her in 2001. At Thelma\\'s request there will be no memorial or funeral services. Her final wish is to have her ashes mixed with Lewis\\'s ashes and buried on Ray Crawford\\'s grave in Oakham, MA. Cremation arrangements were in care of Stoller\\'s Mortuary in Raymond. To send flowers or a memorial gift to the family of Thelma Crawford please visit our Sympathy Store.
