Richmond Goulden

February 14, 1929 — July 31, 2017

Richmond Goulden passed away on July 31, 2017 at the age of 88. Richmond was born to Richmond and Emily (Kurtz) Goulden on February 14, 1929 in Chicago, Illinois. His family eventually moved from Chicago to Victoria, B.C. where he graduated from high school. He then joined the Air Force in 1948 and served until 1957. He then went to the University of Washington and received a teaching certificate. He married Marguerite “Marge†Rawlinson on April 11, 1955. Richmond and Marge moved to Raymond, WA where Richmond worked as a school teacher at Raymond High School. He retired from the youth education District in 1992. Richmond love walking, spending time with his family, reading and gardening. He was active in the Willapa Valley Saddle Club and Little League baseball. Richmond is preceded in death by his son, George Goulden (1988) his brother, Allan Goulden (2008) and his wife, Marge (2009). He is survived by his children: Theresa and Gerald Zumbuhl of Frances, WA; Michael and Cheree Goulden of McCleary, WA; Jeri Lynn Goulden of Raymond, WA. Four grandchildren: Jacob and Jamie Zumbuhl of Scobey, MT; Elizabeth and Benjamin Schrempp of Post Falls, ID; Cody and Amber Adams of McMinville, OR; and Lianne Adams of McCleary, WA. Three great-grandchildren: Romie and George Zumbuhl and Gracie Schrempp. Richmond belonged to New Beginnings Church in Raymond, WA. Services will be held on August 26, 2017 at 1 p.m. at the New Beginnings Church located at 453 2nd, Raymond, WA 98577. There will be a potluck following the service.
