Paul Niemcziek, Jr. a lifetime resident of Frances, died Saturday, March 7, 2015 at his home. He was born March 16, 1921 in Frances to Paul Sr. and Mary Kocik. Paul graduated from the Lebam High School in 1940. He served in the United States Army in the Philippines and Japan, until being honorably discharged. Paul worked in the Logging Industry in the Willapa Hills and also on the Railroad Section Crew from Pluvius, WA to Green Creek, WA. He was also a hard working farmer of poultry and beef. He was a member of the VFW, enjoyed gardening, and playing solitaire. Paul was preceded in death by his wife Billie, his parents, and by his six brothers; Joe, Stanley, Russell, Anthony, Victor, and Florian. He was also preceded in death by two sisters; Lula Pierog, and Blondina Bowns (Thompson). He had a very special set of caregivers, his nephew Victor Niemcziek, Jr. and niece Jennie Niemcziek and helper “The Little Guy†Oren Fetters, Jr. He is also survived by his step-daughters Judy Landsidel, Charlotte Davis, and Mrs. Grace (Florian) Niemcziek. Memorial donations may be made to the Raymond Ambulance Fund in Paul’s name at 212 Commercial Street, Raymond, WA 98577. Graveside services will be held Friday, March 20, at 1:00 p.m. at the Fern Hill Cemetery in Menlo where Military Honors will be accorded. A gathering will follow at the St. Lawrence Catholic Church in Raymond. Arrangements were in care of Stoller’s Mortuary in Raymond.
