Opal Heath

April 21, 1931 — November 7, 2015

Opal D. Miles Heath 84, a Raymond resident since 1998 died Saturday, November 7th at the family home. Mrs. Heath was born April 21 1931 at Rigby Idaho to Alfred and Vernice (Shattuck) Rosenhall. Mrs. Heath Graduated from Renton High School in 1949. She worked nearly 20 years in the dental profession, retiring in 1993. She was a member of the Raymond Ward Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints, Research Club, and Willapa Chorale for 10 years. She taught piano for over 40 years, sang in, played for, and directed many church choirs. She enjoyed sewing quilts, knitting, crocheting, making clothing and lap robes for charity, and making cards. She married Harrold Boyd Miles in Bellevue WA in August of 1949. Harrold died November of 1983. She later married Hilden Heath in Seattle August 3, 1990. Hilden survives at the family home in Raymond. Other survivors include two sons Kenneth (Shirley) Miles of Auburn and William “Bill†(Linda) Miles of Enumclaw; step sons Ivan (Karen) Heath of Rathdrum, Idaho., and Rex (Vera) Heath of Soap Lake; two daughters Cheryl (Ray) Archibald of Oakley, Idaho, Lisa Miles of Seattle, and step daughter Laural Yeats of Buckeye, Arizona. Opal is also survived by 14 grandchildren and numerous great grandchildren She was preceded in death by two sons Steven D. Miles in 1986 and Kelly T. Miles who died in 1994, and her sister Goldie Rosenhall who died in 1993. Funeral services are set for 11:00 a.m. Monday November 16 at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints Church in Raymond. Burial will follow at the Fern Hill Cemetery in Menlo.
