Mae Tower

Mae L Tower, a long time South Bend resident died Thursday, November 12, 2015 at the Willapa Harbor Hospital; she was 89. She was born August 10, 1926 in South Bend to Lewis and Mae (Bubbins) Rickert. After graduating from South Bend High School in 1944, Mae raised her family and later was employed at Hoquiam Plywood as an accountant until she retired. After retirement she became a prolific baker, generously sharing her baked goods with friends, and family. She also enjoyed sewing, traveling, and loved to spend winter in the desert hot springs with her husband Carl Tower. Mae was preceded in death by her Husband Carl, daughter Sandra Miller, sister Ione Monohon and brother Daniel Rickert. She is survived by her sons Larry Lee (Becky)of Westport and Daniel Lee (Barbara) of Bend, Oregon. Also surviving her are 6 grandchildren and 8 great grandchildren, and numerous nieces, nephews, and their families. There will be no services as requested by Mae.
