August 27, 1965 - December 21, 2020
In Loving Memory of Kimberly Ann (Taylor) Gray Kimberly Ann (Taylor) Gray, 55, a resident of Raymond, WA, died Monday, December 21, 2020, at Grays Harbor Community Hospital in Aberdeen as a result of complications following a surgery. She was born August 27, 1965, in Aberdeen, WA to Ron and Ida (Aust) Taylor. Kim was raised in South Bend, excelling as an athlete, particularly in basketball. She graduated from South Bend High School, class of 1983, before going on to study at Grays Harbor Community College for two years, where she earned her Associate of Arts Degree. After college, she worked as a waitress at the H&H Café in South Bend. She married Tom Gray in 1995, and they settled in Old Willapa, with their children, Hunter Taylor, born June 7, 1998, and Karlee Della, born November 11, 2000. Kim’s children were her first priority. She selflessly went above and beyond to support and care for her kids. She never missed a sporting event, school-related activity, or reason to show her love for her children. Starting in 2007, Kim worked at the Willapa Elementary School as a paraeducator, and assisted in the kitchen, where she showed love to all students, and formed personal relationships that she greatly valued. For the past two years, she also worked part time at Chen’s Restaurant in South Bend, where she enjoyed being a waitress and always took pride in providing the best service for her customers. Above all else, Kim loved her family, and never turned down an opportunity to get together with those she loved. Whether it was a family BBQ, a holiday celebration, or a simple happy-hour gathering, she always arrived with plenty of snacks, laughter, and hugs to share, especially for her young great-nephews, Boone and Bruer. Each summer, Kim looked forward to family vacations at Black Butte Ranch, where she could relax, soak up the sun, and spoil the whole family with her taco night dinner, and world famous cranberry cake. She is survived by her two children, Hunter and Karlee Gray of Raymond; her parents, Ron and Ida Taylor, and her sister, Sherrie (Greg) Wonhoff of South Bend. Kim’s stubborn, yet loving and caring personality will be missed by all who knew and loved her. When you think of Kim, celebrate the good memories you have of her, and remember that life is fragile and should always be lived to the fullest. She had a special place in her heart for all animals, especially her own kitties, and she volunteered at the Harbor Association of Volunteers for Animals (HAVA). In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to HAVA, mailing address P.O. Box 243 Raymond, WA 98577. Due to the Covid-19 pandemic, there will be no service.
