James Robert Meade

James Robert “Bob” Meade died Saturday, December 29, 2018 at the Willapa Harbor Care Center. He was born November 28, 1938 to Kenneth Ray and Reba Eileen (Cummings) Meade in Enid, Oklahoma. After graduating from Alva High School in Alva, Oklahoma, James attended Bethany Nazarene College in Bethany, Oklahoma, from which he earned an Honorary Doctorate Degree in Christian Ministry. On July 23, 1958, he married Marilyn B. (Lile) Meade. James served 53 years as a Pastor for the Church of the Nazarene as well as two years in the Wesleyan Church until his retirement in 2005. Surviving James are his wife Marilyn, brother David (Janice) Meade, of Olathe, KS, his sister Helen (Doug) Brumbaugh, of Vancouver, WA, his son Rocky Joe Meade (Raynett) of Raymond, his daughter Charity Lynn Meade of Raymond, WA, and six grandchildren; Benjamin, Jeremiah, Elizabeth, Darienne, Christopher, and Joshua. Memorial services will be held at 1:00 p.m. February 2, 2019 at the Abundant Life Nazarene Church, 615 S. 4th Ave., Kelso, WA 98626. Donations may be made to the Raymond Church of the Nazarene.
