Blanche Alexander

Blanche Elaine Alexander 97, a Willapa Harbor Native, died on September 30, 2014 in Aberdeen, WA. She was born on July the 21st of 1917 in Raymond, WA. and graduated in 1934 from Raymond High School. After High School, she worked for 3 years as Pacific County Supervisor of the NYA (National Youth Administration); then in Vancouver at the NYA Area Office. She worked also at the Clyde Lewis Insurance Agency in Raymond, and at Meredith’s Hallmark for 25 years. She married Andrew E. Alexander on December the 27th 1944 at the Raymond Methodist Church. He preceded her in death in 1990. Survivors include her sister, Varian Gacek, her daughter Bonnie Hemple; her son, Richard A. Alexander; grandchildren: Amy E. Messner, Anthony S. Alexander, Jillian S. Campbell, and 9 great-grandchildren. She is also survived by her a niece, Andrea Wieland, and two nephews, Steve and Sam Brown. At her request there will be no funeral service.
