Robert Max Burleson
September 8, 1942 - August 28, 2018
Robert Max Burleson, a resident of Lebam, died Tuesday, August 28, 2018, he was 75. Max was born September 18, 1942 in Raymond to Robert Louis and Esther (Sanders) Burleson.
He married Carol Szydtowski June 12, 1964 in Centralia. Max retired from Weyerhaeuser after 38 years of working in the woods as a logger. He enjoyed his time spent outdoors, fishing, farming, hunting and riding horses in the back country. As former members of the Lewis County Chapter of the Back Country Horsemen, Max and Carol cherished the good friends and wonderful memories that were made during those years. He was also a member of the NRA, the Raymond Elks Club and a lifetime member of the Rocky Mountain Elk Foundation.
Max is survived by his wife Carol of Lebam and their three children, Debby (Dave) Thompson of Lewiston, ID, Scott (Courtney) Burleson of Bellingham, Wa and Cathy (Tony) Sawyer of Davenport, WA. He is also survived by his brother David Lee Burleson of Matlock, Wa; six grandchildren, Alison, Jill, Samantha, Colton, Canton and Grayson; two great grandchildren, Roczen and Dash; his dear cousin Harvel Sanders and numerous nieces and nephews. Max was preceded in death by his parents, Robert L. and Esther Burleson.

Graveside services will be held at 11:00 a.m., Saturday, September 1, 2018 at the Fern Hill Cemetery in Menlo. All are welcomed to join in a celebration of Max's life immediately following services at the Lebam Tavern.
